Asphalt Ventures has opened the 12/1/08 (Monday after Thanksgiving) single lapping day event to Novice Drivers & Intermediate Drivers (desiring coached VIR experience)

Morris, Graham, Andy James, Brandon Gurley & Kevin Harvey are all attending, Bryan is still on fence w/ single day event.

Monday, December 1st (immediately after Thanksgiving) I'm already hosting a lapping day on VIR Full Course. I'm now adding two instructed entry options (well, adding one, and refining one I already had) for a total of three entry options:

- Beginner/Novice dedicated DE style run group w/ in-car and in-class instruction - $275
- Intermediate/Advanced in-car coaching and solo lapping - $275
- Advanced solo lapping - $225

The Beginner/Novice group will have in class instruction in addition to the in car. Peter Krause will also be joining us to talk us through all the intricacies of VIR Full Course, and he'll be hosting a data acquisition seminar in the afternoon. Instructed entries will receive lunch tickets with their entry.

Beginner/Novices can expect up to 2-1/2 hours of track time, Intermediates and advanced solo drivers... 4-1/2 to 5-1/2 hours of track time. Those of you who choose instruction, you will get 1-on-1 instruction, whether you're in the beginner group, or the intermediate group.

Space IS limited... I'm only opening 25 beginner/novice slots, and 20 intermediate/advanced in-car coached slots... so sign up early!

I'm not trying to hijack this post, but it is related to racing:

SloTruck, do you happen to have any videos of your recent racing excursions that you can post? Or have you posted it somewhere that we can have a look?

Anybody else in the club have some good video to show??

I think Paul said he was going to be attending this aswell. Sounds like fun, maybe the next event will be at a slower track or segment and I can sign myself up.

If I was smart enuff, ambitious enuff, or even lamely experienced enuff... I'd embed some youtube video of the Full Course at VIR (plenty of it there - a lot specific to THSCC or AV events too - can even find some w/ Mo gettin' around) ..... b_set [da "Truk"] too sorry (or too busy) to rip his stuff, so you'll play hell gettin it from him.

SloTruk must be too busy throwing interior parts over his shoulder!

BTW, what's with the X'd out squares below everybody's screen name on the left margin?

Most interesting... I've been using Firefox. I saw no problems.
I decided to use IE6 for a change; I see what you all don't see.
GOTCHA!

Is this what you did to fix it?-- :17:

One of these days I've got to change to Firefox

No, FF3 was seeing just "*"
I thought it was part of the new theme, i crossed referenced it.
Obviously FF was treating the missing image differently.
All FiX0Rd now. :63:
