Three of the Carolina Z Club members (James, Mike Sr. and Mike Jr.) made the trip to Wilmington, NC the weekend of Nov. 18th and 19th. to attend the Cape Fear Club's "Z BLAST". Activities started out for us on Saturday morning with a Poker Run. (missed one card of having a straight) A $200 prize towards one of next years road course events was given to the winner. The poker run included a visit to Figure Eight Island and one of the Cape Fear member's "beach home", very nice! (Thanks George!) Next was back to Bain Williams "Country Estate" home where we were welcomed to a great Pig Pickin and "Pig Out" barbecue. Great county location and thanks to Bain and his family for allowing us to "invade" their home. Two pigs had been barbecuing all day as we had fun in our cars and the smell of BBQ was in the air on our return. There was so much left over, (hard to imagine, huh?) that we were all treated to BBQ lunch the next day at the car show. A Texas Hold'em Poker event was held that evening at no expense to the entrants which ended the days festivities. Next up was the Car show on Sunday. Some of us showed up early to take advantage of the wash facilities offered to us at Bain's home. We did collect a few bugs coming down from Charlotte and while on the poker run. See guy's, my car gets out! Their was a good showing of entrants with the most number of cars being in the 350 Z Class. All three of our members entered the car show. James car looked great, but the competition was very tough for his 350 class. First place trophies were given out for each class. Two of our club members (Mike Jr. and Mike Sr.) came away with first place trophies in the Z31 and Z32 classes!

A good time was had by all and a lot of PR work was done on behalf of the CZC by all attending. Thanks to the Cape Fear Z Club, especially Myra Adams (President Cape Fear Z Club) , Bain Williams and family for furnishing the location and facilities and to the rest of the CFZC for putting on such a nice event to end the year! We look forward to seeing the CFZC members at several events next year. A great bunch of "guys" and "gals" and we certainly look forward to our next visit to Wilmington and the Cape Fear "Z" Club!
