Honestly, is Hollywood too cheap to hire writers with new ideas?  Are we doomed for the next 40 years to watching the LAST 40 years of films, TV shows, and Comic books remade? 

Admittedly, these are all great stories, including Tron, but has American society gotten that lazy, or have the producers gotten a serious case of the jimmies and don't want to take risk anymore?  I'm sure there are still great screenplays out there, we just have to demand them.

I'll admit, I was on the bandwagon too.  I loved Batman Begins, and I thought it set the record straight for all those people who never actually read the comic book and grew up on the senseless 60's TV show, or even the moronic movies of the 90s.

I guess like the reality TV, they will ride the wave until it crashes to shore....

...but I will probably go see it.  Maybe.  If they have my size glasses.

This looks like it might be a good movie.  I think it's technically a sequel, not a remake.  And some remade movies have been quite good (e.g. Star Trek).
